Add CRA Business

To add a CRA business, you must enter the 15-digit Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) business number or, for registered charities and non-profit organizations, the CRA registration number (e.g., 123456789 AB 1234).

If the CRA business you are adding to your organization belongs to a client employer, please make sure the ROE Web Client Employer Consent Form has been completed and signed by both your organization and the client employer. Link to the INS5238 ROE Web Client Employer Consent Form.

Using the RP program account to your organization will expedite the validation process.

Overlapping Records of Employment (ROEs)

If you have at least one employee who works in more than one position under this CRA Business Number, and is recorded separately under different payroll reference numbers, it may be necessary for you to issue more than one ROE for the same period of employment for this employee.

If Yes, I request that the Overlap Rule be applied to my ROE Web account. I understand that I should only issue multiple ROEs for the same period of employment under the Business Number above, when one employee performs two or more jobs and is recorded separately under different payroll reference numbers.

Note that once the CRA Business Information is validated and the Primary Officer's Identity has been authenticated, a letter will be mailed to the business owner or chief executive officer to authorize creation of this account.
